Ocular migraine, medically known as ophthalmoplegic migraine affects the eye. Ocular migraine should not be confused with a migraine aura that affects the vision.

Migraine is a neurological disorder, the precise cause of which is still quite ambiguous. Migraine is linked to abnormalities of the blood vessels of the head. Ocular migraine occurs when the blood vessels suddenly constrict, thus decreasing blood supply to the eye.

Consider it a coming out, of sorts. It's true. I'm one of *them*. I'm a refuser. For those of you who don't know this already, I feel it's time to just put it right out there and take ownership. My husband and I are the "crazies"...

For fun, ask your doctor to share with you all they know about the ingredients (active and inactive) in the vaccines. Then ask them to show you the package insert for each of the vaccinations your child is about to receive. I have. I can almost guarantee they will tell you, "Don't worry about it. I am the doctor. It's for the best. Do you have a medical degree?" They really won't know or say much more, except to possibly give you a condescending lecture and the crackerjack eye for daring to question their authority. you might imagine, I'd highly recommend you DO question their authority.

Some 6 million people suffer from fibromyalgia, and a recent study reports that pain - more than depression, anxiety or sleeplessness -- is the primary factor behind cognitive dysfunction in patients suffering with this disorder.

According to Dr. Josh Wagner - the only Manhattan chiropractor specializing in Torque Release Technique, a drug-free, safe and natural treatment for fibromyalgia and other chronic pain disorders - the key to eliminating fibromyalgia lies in de-stressing and detoxifying the central nervous system, not in merely managing the often debilitating disorder with pain medication.

Memorial Sloan Kettering scientists and doctors firmly believe we're on the cusp of a brighter era in cancer care and research. Although the history of attempts to understand and control cancer is littered with disappointments...

In addition to drugs such as ipilimumab and nivolumab, MSK researchers are developing another immunotherapy strategy in which a patient's own T cells are manipulated to more readily attack cancer cells. In this treatment, called chimeric antigen receptor therapy, or CAR therapy, T cells are collected from a patient's blood, genetically engineered to recognize certain proteins on cancer cells, and infused back into the patient's bloodstream.

Bioengineers in the US are developing the world's first artificial cow's milk made from genetically engineered yeast in an effort to put a more environmentally sustainable option on the market.

Earlier this year, a synthetic dairy start-up called Muufri (pronounced "Moo-free") was founded by two bioengineers in California - Perumal Gandhi and Ryan Pandya. They're working on perfecting an artificial cow's milk made from a special variety of yeast that has been genetically engineered to produce milk proteins.

Researchers have found that new nerve imaging technology called Magnetic Resonance neurography was effective to reveal that a pinched-nerve in the pelvis called piriformis syndrome caused sciatic leg pain in the majority of patients who had failed diagnos

For the last 70 years, a damaged disc in the lower back has been widely accepted as the most common cause of sciatica - a condition where the sciatic nerve is pinched, causing pain to radiate down the leg. As a result, treatment for sciatica is based on diagnosis of a damaged disc, despite the fact that nerves cannot be viewed with routine imaging tests. Consequently, over one million patients each year undergo magnetic resonance imaging scans (MRI) for sciatica and many are told there is no obvious cause for their pain.

Aras Chiropractic and Dr. Aras Ignatavicius D. C., are pleased to announce that locals can obtain back pain relief by utilizing the techniques and methods offered by the Singapore chiropractor under the guidelines of chiropractic medicine.

The methods are non-invasive and are all-natural. No pharmaceuticals are suggested or prescribed to patients pursuing this course of therapy. A therapeutic plan may include a number of techniques, some applied by the doctor and some that are the responsibility of the patient. The initial step when there is a subluxation is to provide a manual or mechanical adjustment to the spinal column. This allows the discs to move back into the optimum position. Pain is relieved and the body is able to begin a self healing process.

More than 97,000 California public school students have been diagnosed as autistic, a number that has risen seven-fold since 2001, according to the latest special education data from the California Department of Education.

The figure represent a jump of about 6,500, or 7 percent, from 2014-15 to 2015-16. The increase was especially sharp among kindergartners, where autism cases grew by 17 percent last year. More than one of every 65 kindergartners in California public schools is classified as autistic. Since 2006, the number of autistic students statewide has risen by between 5,000 and 7,000 every year, state figures show.
