Drinking too much soda can cause an array of negative effects in your body, even if you drink diet soda. Carbonated soda drinks do not contain any beneficial nutrients, but typically contribute excessive calories and sugar to your diet.

High levels of caffeine in some sodas may lead to dehydration. Caffeine is a natural diuretic and causes your body to excrete fluid through urine. Since caffeinated sodas can make you need to use the restroom frequently, do not consume them if you are exercising or if you live in a hot climate.

Sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), also known as crib death or cot death, is the number one cause of death for infants from one month to one year of age. 90% of all SIDS deaths are in babies under six months old.

Dr. James Sprott, OBE, a New Zealand scientist and chemist, states that crib death is caused by toxic gases, which can be generated from a baby's mattress. He says chemical compounds containing phosphorus, arsenic and antimony have been added to mattresses as fire retardants and for other purposes since the early 1950's. A fungus that commonly grows in bedding can interact with these chemicals to create poisonous gases (Richardson 1994).

Fingernails and disease don't go together in most minds... but they should. Your fingernails can give you valuable health warnings and signal the presence of serious disease.

Take a good long look at your nails. Hold a hand level with your nose about a foot out from your face and scrutinize each one. Look at the curves, dips, ridges, and grooves. Check out how thick or thin they are and if your nails are chipped or broken. Make a note of the color of the nail itself, the skin under it, and the skin around the nail.

Did you know that in your efforts to be healthy you just might be consuming more chemicals than you think? Yup, non-dairy milk may not be all it's cracked up to be. Let's look a little closer at some of the additives in non-dairy milk...

Milk and other dairy products have on the receiving end of bad press for decades already. However, once the "Low Fat" movement kicked off, this bad press virtually became sheer brutality. Everything dairy was suddenly condemned. Everywhere we look we see warnings about the dangers of milk and all products derived from it. Butter in particular suddenly became a mass murderer once low fat margarine arrived on the scene.

Conventional physicians want us to believe that there are only three treatments for cancer - surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy. In fact, allopathic physicians have exclusively use these three approaches for the past 100 years.

Even though it is clear that even the US government admits that radiation and chemo both cause cancer, these therapies continue to be used with little concern about the new cancers that they cause. The conventional cancer treatment system and the pharmaceutical companies that control it are dedicated to limiting the development of all other forms of cancer treatment. They have a chokehold on the development of alternative treatments, and they ruthlessly work together with the US FDA and various US government cancer research funding agencies to prevent new treatments from being approved for use by physicians. The reason is that most alternative cancer treatments are much less expensive than surgery, radiation, and chemo. They are also more effective and have many fewer (if any) unwanted side effects.
