Before all of the blueberries disappear, I had to get one more summer dessert in. Take a look at this beautiful Paleo Blueberry Lemon Bread. It's loaded with protein-rich almond flour, nutrient-dense eggs, and oh-so-good-for-you coconut oil.
I'm a creature of habit, and the small rituals of life make me happy. Every Sunday morning I wake up, eat breakfast, and head to my local Farmer's Market. The first place we go is the gluten free bakery booth for Pao de Queijo (or Brazilian cheese bread.) My little one gets one plain and one olive. She eats the plain one right away. On April 18, 2013, in an historic victory for the chiropractic profession, the Michigan Court of Appeals ruled that MAC lawsuits against Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) and Blue Care Network (BCN) could move forward as class-action lawsuits, meaning that damages could be awarded. Michigan Association of Chiropractors (MAC) President Dr. Dennis Whitford was elated with the victory, which he called a "tremendous win and important step on the road to overall victory" in the lawsuits.

One of my main motivations to become a chiropractor was my experience as an often-injured athlete. Innately, I was never satisfied with the symptom-oriented treatment the traditional medical model offered. I felt that given the right guidance, I could be doing things outside of the treatment and training room that would help my body heal faster and perhaps more effectively prevent future injury.
