These days, a very common decision many parents-to-be face is whether to induce labour or wait for labour to begin spontaneously.

Women and their partners should be aware that induction of labour for a low risk pregnancy introduces a number of risks to a potentially normal labour and birth. Many parents are not aware of the reasons why waiting for labour to start without any interference is preferable and beneficial, when there are no medical complications. Unfortunately, it's not as simple as having some medication and labour begins (and ends) just as it would normally - it's actually very different.

Coughing not only annoys you but also makes you persona non grata at the movies, the symphony, and any other place where people congregate. But if you have a "wet" cough, you don't want to suppress it...

Blend lemon juice with a little honey, then add a pinch of cayenne pepper and swallow. The honey coats your throat, soothing irritated tissues, while the lemon reduces inflammation and delivers a dose of infection-fighting vitamin C. The red pepper increases circulation to the area, which hastens the healing process.

H2O!!! Ever thought about how much water impacts your life? How much water do you drink every day? How does your water intake and hydration levels affect your overall health?

As a general rule, your daily intake of water should be equal to half your body weight in ounces. If you drink one cup of coffee you need at least two additional cups of water per day to replenish your daily need of H2O.

Are you still smearing Vicks all over the kids when they have a cough or cold? This lovely winter weather is bringing on the cold and cough season with a vengeance this year but you might think twice before reaching for the familiar green Vicks jar.

Vicks Vapo Rub is said to cause breathing problems in babies. Vicks Vapor Rub contains ingredients that "can be irritants, causing the body to produce more mucus to protect the airway," according to a doctor who has been doing studies on the product. In a study released by the Wake Forest University of Medicine (in North Carolina), pediatricians warn that the ingredients of Vicks Vapo Rub could turn out to be harmful for young children and babies. The reason for this is that it can cause severe respiratory distress when applied.

Sciatic pain causes a lot of discomfort and 40% of the world's population will suffer from sciatica at some point in their lives. It occurs when the sciatic nerve is compressed by inflammation or physical damage.

It is that pain which affects your back, hip, and outer side of your leg from the buttock down to your foot. Sciatic nerve is the biggest nerve in the human body. It runs through deep in your rear and back of the thigh from both sides of your lower spinal column. It goes to the foot and therefore joins and foot muscles and your spinal cord.

Iodine is an essential trace nutrient that is responsible for producing thyroid hormones. These hormones are responsible for regulating the metabolism, which affects the speed with which our bodies use energy, cholesterol, and heart rates...

Sea vegetables, or seaweeds, are the kings of iodine - which makes sense, since iodine ions mainly concentrate in oceans and saltwater pools. Though all sea vegetables are rich in iodine, perhaps the greatest source is bladderwrack.

Steady improvements in American life expectancy have stalled, and more Americans are dying at younger ages. But for companies straining under the burden of their pension obligations, the distressing trend could have a grim upside.

If people don't end up living as long as they were projected to just a few years ago, their employers ultimately won't have to pay them as much in pension and other lifelong retirement benefits. In 2015, the American death rate-the age-adjusted share of Americans dying-rose slightly for the first time since 1999. And over the last two years, at least 12 large companies, from Verizon to General Motors, have said recent slips in mortality improvement have led them to reduce their estimates for how much they could owe retirees by upward of a combined $9.7 billion, according to a Bloomberg analysis of company filings.

Shortages of medicines for some of the most common cancers have caused nearly half of doctors to delay treatment and forced about a third to choose between patients needing a particular drug.

The findings from a survey of 250 cancer doctors highlight the anxious situation some of their patients have faced during the past year as manufacturing lapses and changes in the generic-drug industry have cut off supply of key medicines, said Keerthi Gogineni, a cancer doctor at the University of Pennsylvania, who presented the finding in Chicago at the meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology. More than 80 percent of cancer doctors surveyed said they haven't been able to get needed medications, including potentially life-saving drugs for breast, ovarian and prostate cancers.

The words were the actual thoughts of a young boy, David Ward, contemplating suicide in the mid-1970s. A variety of emotional incidents – his father’s unexpected death and ongoing bullying - led him to those life-ending actions.

Later in the book, Ward tells how God's intervention stopped him from climbing the tower that day to end his life. Now, nearly four decades later, Ward shares his emotional story and powerful message in a 79-page book, “A Life Almost Wasted." Dr. Ward said he initially felt God's calling to share his story about six years ago.

The loss of our basic right to determine our own health care including Forced Vaccinations is coming and in many cases the precursors already exist. When We The People no longer have the right to decide what goes into our bodies...

This article will discuss this point and the reasons so many of us choose not to vaccinate and will stand by that decision. Only the use of tyrannical force will overcome that objection. Study after study is proving that vaccines are ineffective, may cause the very disease they are purported to prevent and in some cases may cause more harm to us than the actual disease. Peer Reviewed studies now link vaccines and psychotropic drugs to such physical and mental diseases as Cancer, SIDS, Dementia, Autism, ADHD, Behavioral Disorders and a host of other maladies we as a nation suffer on a massive scale, some of which we as a nation lead the world in.
