Autism rates in the US have been rising since the 1980s. In 1985 autism prevalence was 1 in 2,500, ten years later it jumped to 1 in 500, and today it is an astonishing 1 in 68 children.

More and more researchers and doctors are raising red flags as they see more evidence that this epidemic is related not only to environmental, food, and water toxins, but specifically to those in vaccinations. In 1995 , the immunization schedule for children had 19 vaccinations before the age of 16. In 2001 , that number is now 28 before the age of 18.

Chiropractic care is an alternative medicine based on the belief that "subluxations" in the spine cause a range of ailments, which can be treated by manipulating the spine.

"Immediately after birth, Chirochild practitioners are qualified to assess the nerves, muscles and joints of all babies. After living in a cramped uterus, and the trauma of vaginal and caesarean deliveries, newborn checks are sought by more and more people." Sydney's Family First Chiropractic even believes babies can benefit before they are born, by ensuring mothers are free from subluxations.

Even children who are otherwise healthy but who walk on their toes because of spending too much time in baby walkers may be setting themselves up for posture problems in later life.

Toe-walking is a condition where children walk on their toes instead of using a typical gait. According to the study to be published in the August issue of Pediatrics[1] as many as one in 20 children may predominantly walk on their toes in early childhood. The study points out that children who have developmental delays or neuropsychiatric disorders are more likely to walk on their toes.

It is a moment of anticipation. Amidst a doctor's voice telling you to relax and saying that this is going to be such a simple procedure that you will leave saying, "that was it, that's all it took," you all of a sudden hear the noise ...

"cc-rr-ACK." For a second I took the time to realize that was indeed my neck that just made that usually horrifying sound. The loudness of my neck cracking was then validated by my doctor's reaction of, and I believe this is a technical term, "wowie!" Soon after it is done, though, I had feelings only of relief and confidence in my doctor.

As I type, the wind howls, the trees sway, and the ravens perform acrobatic feats in the cloud-studded sky. March is showing itself to be a lion today, but I can only smile as I read a balmy 39 degrees Fahrenheit on the thermometer.

Laser treatment has been around for several decades, but just recently became more mainstream. This new treatment, which is approved by the FDA, is used to treat musculoskeletal injuries, chronic and degenerative conditions and wounds.

Miguel Cruz, D.C., a chiropractor in Burnsville, North Carolina says the light is absorbed by micro-molecules in the skin and initiates a powerful reaction skin. While Nassau County has been mostly devoid of snowfall this winter, temperatures have dropped of late, leading weather-savvy residents to believe that the first snowfall of 2012 may be coming sooner rather than later.

Numerous health professionals are evermore stressing the great health benefits of earthing.

Various studies have proven the healing effects of earthing, which has surprisingly been found to be more powerful than the use of antioxidants, pain killer medication, blood sugar regulators and at times even cancer medication. Earthing provides the body with natural balancing effects, which is done by shifting and stabilizing charged particles to and from the earth. Earthing is essentially ridding your body from free radicals, pollutants and heavy metals by discharging the body through direct contact with the earth.
